At least I can show you the finished
work since my clients have already received it. I have to say that their words
of appreciation have made me very happy, because even though I always put the soul
in everything I do, and I don't consider finished a job until I am fully
satisfied, I cannot avoid feeling quite restless until I know that my work has
met the expectations of the client.
LA LECHUZA DEL PORTIL is a rural house located
in Huelva, very close to the sea, I invite you to visit the web page of the
house (just click on the name) for you to realize how far Delia and José have paid attention even to the
smallest detail on it. In spite of carrying little time running (at least this
crisis not only produces bad things), I am sure of their success. The books that I was commissioned are two welcome books; in them the guests can find all the information necessary to fully enjoy their stay in LA LECHUZA DEL PORTIL, excursions, breakfast timetables, activities, etc. The owners wanted to be able to include or remove the leaves with the information; so it could not be a conventional binding.
Finally, José designed the owl, that should go embossed in brass, and we opted for a binding with screws and cardboard sheets with clear adhesive corners to fix the information sheets on it, thus facilitating the books could "grow" when necessary. All those things of course, in line with the place they would occupy; a rural house where many of the elements of the decoration are hand-made or natural materials. It has been a rewarding working.

Y ahora a otra cosa mariposa...
